Frequently Asked Questions

• How do sponsors benefit.

  Products used in the project will be documented on the HiCorolla website. We will give an unbiased report on the installation and resulting improvements. A link to each sponsor will be provided on the website, and each sponsors name and logo will be shown with the Corolla when it is displayed in public.

• Are you going to be measuring performance gains.

  Yes, but only from the seat of the pants perspective. While many of the products to be tested have the potential to increase performance, that is not the goal of the project so dont expect 0-60 times or dyno runs.

• Are only products that increase mileage going to be tested.

  No. This car is meant to be a daily driver, so any product that is meant to increase the comfort of the driver and passengers could be added. As an example, an aftermarket Bluetooth hands free kit has already been added.

• How is your testing going to be performed.

  We have identified several routes, all of which are in excess of 150 miles in length. After a product has been installed, one or more of these routes will be travelled, and the mileage will be calculated. If the product is something that would affect the ECU, sufficient time will be allowed prior to the test to allow the ECU to adjust.
